A Personal Note

To Those Who Are Suffering:

Often times it can take years or decades to seek therapy because it can feel like a frightening first step.  For some, unwarranted shame plays a significant role in hesitating to begin therapy.  I want you to know you are making one of the best investments you will ever make in yourself.  You no longer have to suffer when phenomenal therapeutic interventions exist that could change your life.  You are not alone and I have likely treated many individuals with the same or similar fears.  Treatment requires substantial courage and commitment and that is the path to relief.

For others, like so many of my patients, you have seen multiple therapists and were misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and/or did not make significant progress.  This can be discouraging and costly.  Many individuals are unaware that it is important to seek a therapist who not only says they specialize in your issue, but has completed additional training to thoroughly understand how to conceptualize and treat your condition with the most effective treatment modality.

I chose to specialize in the aforementioned conditions because I genuinely enjoy working with individuals who are so delicately susceptible to worry and discomfort.  It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life seeing just what my patients are made of when they gradually take back their lives... adults enjoying life's quiet moments and children seeing all of life's wonder, again.

Sincerely,

Dr. C
